Race Coordinators
The team responsible for planning and executing every event on the calendar.
Behind the Events
Each race is run by a small group of dedicated coordinators who handle permits, course setup, athlete check-in, timing, and on-site logistics. They work across venues in Florida, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire to keep the season moving smoothly from spring through fall.
Race Director
Leads the planning committee, oversees safety planning, and coordinates with local authorities across each event location.
Course Coordinator
Maps swim courses, marks bike and run routes, and confirms turnaround points for each venue on the schedule.
Athlete Services
Manages athlete packets, body marking, packet pickup, and answers pre-race questions from participants.
Volunteer Lead
Recruits, trains, and schedules the volunteers who staff aid stations, transition areas, and finish lines.
How the Team Works
Coordinators split duties by event and venue. The same core team supports both the Florida races, such as the Clermont Challenge and Sarasota Bradenton Triathlon, and the Massachusetts and New Hampshire stops on the schedule.
Partner event links, including Streamline Events and Draft Legal Challenge, are listed on the site to help athletes find related competitions and results.
Behind every triathlon weekend is a network of coordinators who turn permits, maps, and timing systems into a smooth race day. They work behind the scenes to align swim, bike, and run courses, secure local approvals, and manage the small details that athletes rarely notice but quickly feel. From early-season sprints to late-summer championship events, this group keeps the calendar moving across multiple venues and regional formats, balancing safety planning with the logistics of staging swim starts, transition zones, and finish line flow. Their role is largely invisible until something is missing, which is precisely the point of careful coordination done well.
Race directing at this level is as much about communication as it is about course design. Coordinators correspond with municipal agencies, volunteer groups, and timing partners to make sure each segment of the event follows the established standards for sprint, age group, youth, and elite divisions. They also support paratriathlon categories, adapting layouts and protocols so that adaptive athletes can compete on equal footing. Planning typically begins months in advance, with a steady rhythm of check-ins, walk-throughs, and contingency reviews leading up to race morning. The result is a season of events that feels consistent from one host city to the next.
Volunteer captains and on-site leads round out the coordinator structure, handling athlete check-in, packet distribution, aid stations, and post-race breakdown. Many of these roles are filled by returning participants who understand the rhythm of a triathlon weekend and want to give back to the sport. Their familiarity with the venue layout, the flow of the transition area, and the expectations of first-time competitors helps the event feel welcoming and well organized. Together, the coordinator team forms the operational backbone that allows athletes to focus entirely on their race.
